    But even if that wasn’t the case, even if Chil decides to put aside the whole lifespan thing, the way Marcille’s eyes had been casted downwards, watery and glistening, with her hands fidgeting in front of her as though looking for something to hold…

    It wouldn’t matter if she had done that on purpose or not to get him to agree. It easily had him folded.

    And so here he was, sober for a week or two straight already.
