[unknown number]
not fuvkin comig in tmr.I blinked, then tapped the notification.
[Me]: ???
[unknown number]: fk it. what ar yo goin do? disvcarge me.?I stared at the nearly incomprehensible message. Clearly, whoever was on the other end was in no state of mind to be typing. My finger hovered over the three dots in the top corner, ready to block them, but I hesitated. In that moment, another message came through.
[unknown number]: wish u wld. sick if it all. kick me our alrdy.
[unknown number]: less then I can off mself witou geying u in trobleBefore I even realized what I was doing, I pressed call on the mystery number, holding the phone to my ear. Whoever this stranger was, they were obviously further along in a similar boat to me. A kindred spirit.
He picked up on the fifth ring.
“...Fuk ye wan?” The man muttered, voice slurring heavily, his thick accent not making it any easier to understand him.
I swallowed. I hadn't actually thought about what happened when I got this far.
“H-hey,” I stuttered, voice embarrassingly weak. “I think you texted the wrong number but…I wanted to check on you?” -

Summary
“Sergeant Garrick,” he said first, pulling out one file.
“Kyle?”
“They call him Gaz. He never said anything.”
John seemed slightly saddened by this, but he moved on quickly.
“John MacTavish, SAS. Sniper - demolitions. Goes by Soap.”
“Why?”
“That’s classified.”
The woman rolled her eyes. After bypassing a few files, John pulled another.
“Elizabeth Tyler, SAS. Infiltration and information extraction expert. Speaks six languages like a native and fluent in another six.”
The woman picked up the folder, reading the label.
“Valkyrie?”
“Most people just call her Valk.”
John chuckles.
“There he is.”
He raised a folder before sliding it across to her.
“Simon Riley.”
“There’s no picture,” she noted.
“Never,” came his instant reply.
He reclaimed the four folders in front of her.
“Now the rest,” he said, tucking them under his arms as he leaned forward. “That’s need to know. Unless we got a deal.”
“What are you calling this task force?” she asked. John smiled.
“One-four-one.” -

Summary
”Are you sure,” she managed to speak between kisses, “you want this?”“You’re asking me? You’re the one,” he murmured, nibbling her lower lip, “getting married, darling.”
* * *
“Maybe what you really need is a friend, not a lover,” she’d told him.
Tavya's with Gale now; Astarion is just a very close friend.
So it’s definitely not a big deal when she runs into him the night before her wedding… right?
Or, a story about Tav and Astarion becoming more than friends again in the messiest way possible.

Summary
He was certain he’d gotten the body down, at least, with just enough fine tunings to quickly move him from ‘pleasant diversion' to ‘indispensible’, if he played his cards right. That much was simple, and not without its own small entertainments.
But the mind… the mind, he was beginning to worry, might elude him.
--
Astarion and Rosalie think they understand each other perfectly, but they have each fallen prey to the other’s mask. As they both go forward with their adventure, will either of them dare to be honest?
[This is a blatant, self-indulgent novelisation of BG3 full-access, and Part 2 to my Early Access fic, A Bleeding Heart. I try to avoid directly retelling too many moments in the game, but occasionally fall into the trap of rewriting some canon scenes. Dual perspective because now my Tav has some issues to overcome! Come here for the vampire man, stay here for Rosalie's mental illness :') ]
