Summary
On yet another unannounced visit to Poe’s place, Ranpo finds a rather strange book hidden away. A mystery novel, of course, but the stars of the story are familiar and, for once, the twist is rather unexpected. It’s only after he’s finished that Ranpo realizes that maybe he wasn’t meant to find this book. And that maybe, just maybe, Poe was hiding more than he let on.

Summary
Plagued by an unshakeable boredom, Ranpo challenges Poe to a deducing match where they're both trying to figure each other's favorite snack. Once the ground rules are laid and the game begins, they begin exchanging questions, guesses, and gifts of food. Before long, both participants find themselves increasingly conflicted about another matter entirely: their feelings for each other.

He is expecting a gaped mouth and visible, at the very least, perceptible shock, but Kunikida doesn’t look like he’s about to blow a fuse at all. Instead, he pushes his glasses up and furrows his eyebrows together, confused.
