One day, a regular civilian woman was caught up in a huge mess.
The huge mess being the absolute and total destruction of City A. She had tried to help the heroes where they needed, using her experience as a nurse to treat the less injured civilians caught up in the attack. While she was out searching for others who needed assistance, she stumbled upon a half-dead alien.

It was a peaceful summer night. The air was warm, but the slight breeze from your window was comfortable enough. You gathered soft blankets as well as shirts and other clothing items for your large nest on the new matress you'd bought. After a few minutes of shifting things around you were satisfied, and let out a happy chirp as you curled into the plushness of your new nest. It was so cozy you found yourself dozing off in seconds. But something seemed weird. Something was not right. But you were so tired now, so sleepy you just wanted to close your eyes and rest forever. As your eyelids fluttered and slipped shut, your last thought was, "I wonder if I'll still be alone when I wake up.."

Summary
Everything has gone horribly for Caine and he ends up being tossed in the recycle bin to reflect on his horrific actions towards the humans he adored. Luckily, his most treasured item from the humans was deleted along with him, giving him bittersweet comfort. But as he sits and waits to be permanently deleted, he comes face to face with the sins of his past.
~OR~
Caine tortures the humans, gets sent to the recycle bin, and is faced with the wrath of Abel, the brother he consumed long ago.
