So while Nina patiently waited for an answer, Johan melted into the mattress and pretended to have fallen asleep. When he heard a faint sigh from behind him, he couldn't help the little curve of his lips. Nina was smart. Very smart. And she probably suspected that he was faking, and was irritated. But he continued to pretend anyway, because he knew she was also too considerate to push the matter any further. For tonight, at least, this house of cards would stand firm.
