Summary
After a life under his father’s thumb, Fire Nation omega Zuko is stripped of his crown prince title and sent South with expectations that far outweigh that of a traditional omegan mate. For the Southern Water Tribe, the marriage is an important step in repairing international alliances after nearly a hundred years of war, a means to an end for a future of peace.
For Fire Lord Ozai, the marriage is an opportunity to have a spy inside the heart of his greatest, and least known, threat.
For Zuko, the marriage is an escape, but he doesn’t know if what awaits him on the other side of the ocean is truly safer than what he’s running from. His father likes to surround himself with powerful alphas with cruel tendencies; why should his new husband be any different?

Pure coincidence? Maybe. But he's always had a soft spot for broken boys.
As they journey together, he's going to find a lot more than his memories of a home that threw him away.
A companion in battle and a companion in love, his relationship with the exhiled prince will end up reflecting is primordial nature a lot more then he could have predicted.This story will roughly follow the main beats of canon. Imagine ATLA, but with an amnesiac god in there, everyone is slightly older and the events of the show are on a longer timescale.

Summary
For as long as he can remember, Zuko knew he would have no say in who he would marry. Anyone familiar with basic royal customs would realize it as well. Marriage wasn’t a luxury or some grand display of love; marriage was for convenience and a power move if done correctly. It meant nothing to Zuko. He was raised with the knowledge that he would one day be sent off to live with a stranger for the sake of his nation, and it didn’t matter if he ended up happy or not. His happiness didn't matter.
All this to say, when his father tells him that he is to marry a stranger from the Southern Water Tribe and use their marriage as an opportunity to spy on the enemy, Zuko knows he has no choice. It's just...he didn't expect this stranger to be so kind to him.
