Summary
Quite by accident, Vimes finds Vetinari in a bit of a predicament as he negotiates with some "foreign ambassadors". Unfortunately, it's not the sort of predicament that one necessarily escapes unscathed. Vetinari is predictably Vetinari about it all, and Vimes just doesn't hold with that sort of thing.

"I can't fucking do anything else!" Derek snarls, and fuck. The shock of it, of finally saying it out loud, startles him out of his beta shift and into silence.
Stiles squints at him. "You mean—" He drags his bottom teeth over his top lip, eyes darting between Derek's. "You mean that literally, don't you. You think you have nothing else to offer."
"I don't have a college degree. I don't have any real life experience or transferable skills," Derek says roughly. "I'm not—a people person. Money and connections only get you so far. Most people don't— it's not worth it."
He knows Stiles hears what he's trying really hard not to say.

Summary
God, Stiles needed more Adderall. And a nap. And a good fuck. Possibly not in that order.
Recent NYU grad, and new law clerk, Stiles Stilinski is sixty-five hours into a very long work week, the latest in a string of very long work weeks. He’s suffering from a terrible case of no-time-to-jerk-off, and a shared apartment with painfully thin walls. To top it off, his entitled bastard of a boss seems to have missed the memo on personal space. If he doesn’t get some quality time with his right hand, and soon, he’s going to end up fired, or evicted.
Unfortunately, his roommate is forever getting in the way of his plans, and it turns out his boss is just plain trouble with a capital T.
