And the pests. Dragons if you're looking for a kinder word.
The raids have been here ever since Berk was... well, Berk. Dragons fly over the village, attack their supplies (mostly food) and leave. Killing one of those beasts is what any person Hiccup's age could ever dream of.
Hiccup? He's not sure he shares the same sentiment.

Summary
It's a man, and something about him irks Katsuki, even before he reached their table. Katsuki realizes it’s the way he’s looking down. Katsuki can’t see his eyes. It reminds Katsuki of another boy, a lifetime ago, another shadow of Katsuki’s past.
“Hello all, I’ll be—oh,” the waiter freezes the second he sees them. He’s staring at Katsuki’s parents. Katsuki wants the man to turn suddenly, is aching for it for some reason. It’s the voice, the cadence. It tickles at Katsuki’s brain, brings back memories of cherry blossom spring, the feeling of clenched fists, the color green.
“Well, I’ll be damned,” Mitsuki croons and suddenly stands, getting all up in the waiter’s space, hugging him. Katsuki burns in sudden embarrassment. But her next words are like ice water down his back.
“Izuku Midoriya, in the flesh after all these years,” she says, and Katsuki’s world implodes on itself.

Omg, when I stumbled upon this MASTERPIECE I never thought I'd like it but the more I read it the more it pulled me in. The ending was truly heartbreaking. Damn izuku and his stupid savior complex!😔😔

He wasn’t even going to say Deku’s name out loud. Wasn’t giving him the time of day, even in a conversation about him. That weird awkward virgin was not worth his precious time, and certainly not what Kirishima was suggesting.
“But Bakugouuu,” Kirishima wailed, hanging off Katsuki’s arm with monster meathead jock strength. “My dad said I can’t date if Deku doesn’t date. Do you understand what that means?”
“Less chance of knocking someone up and creating more of you in the world?”
