See, Otto has several bad habits. Sure, you could count the bubbling anxiety he has, or the anger he keeps holding onto, or his undying loyalty turning into a game of how much he can do on his own behind his friends’ backs, but if you were to ask him what his biggest problem is, he’d say that it’s Natsuki Subaru.
Or: Otto decides to vent out his anger by having a drink instead of punching the wall or a certain person again. And, like everything else in his life, nothing goes as planned.

Ed throws him a brief glance over his shoulder, baring his teeth in a terse smile. "Good morning, sleepyhead. Or should I say afternoon; you've been unconscious for the better part of an hour."
"I imagine you had something to do with that," Oswald replies lightly, though there's an edge to his voice that he can't conceal. He raises a hand and runs his fingers along the left side of his neck, immediately locating a tender spot where a needle had undoubtedly pierced his skin. "Please explain to me, Edward, why the last decision I made was to stay and fight for Gotham and yet here I am, waking up underwater and watching you play some kind of life-sized arcade game with our lives."
With Gotham on the brink of destruction and Oswald determined to join it, Ed makes a split-second decision on the pier.
