The man, your soul mate—Johnny, apparently? You wince internally at the misfortune of his name—flashes the other man a cheeky smile. “I can see that, Lt. Lass would disappear if I let ‘er.”

“Ye live here, yeah?” he asks, glancing back at your door.
“Uh, Yeah. Apartment 2B.” You manage.
His grin widened like that meant something.
"Quiet as a mouse, this one! Half the time I forget anyone's living in 2B until the rent comes through." Your landlord chimes in.
You laughed weakly, "I mean it as a compliment," he assured you with a smile. "Best tenant I've ever had."
The man with the mohawk looked back at you, amusement dancing in his eyes.
"A mouse, eh?"
