Summary
The distinguishable gentleman Mactavish has at long last taken a wife. His heart is not truly in the marriage, but that is perfectly understandable for a man of his standing in high society. (He’s never been so listless before his dearest friend, Simon Riley, died- but those are just the whispers of his staff). He is not cruel or particularly dismissive of his wife, but… it is clear he does not care much for you either.
Not minding much, you take on the duties of the estate admirably. The staff all respect you greatly, and you find fulfillment in many a task surrounding the care of the grounds. Regrettably, however... you do end up falling in love with your husband.
(- in the corner of your eye you catch sight of the large ghostly form of a scarred man, fading in and out of reality.)

Logan, after a particularly horrible mission working for the Feds, has a sudden memory flux and refuses to continue working. Rorke sends him to a base just on the edge of no man’s land, to “get his scrambled brains together again”. So he’s sitting in a dank dark cell, basically error 404ing, trying to piece together his jumbled memories after they’d broken the floodgates. He’s a little banged up but he figures it’s all par for the course. Doesn’t care much anymore.
And then out of some dark corner comes you, skittering around the corner, eyes trained behind you as you press yourself to the wall.
You, who’s been getting by on your own in No man’s land ever since Odin first struck. You, who doesn’t know that there is a giant wall with civilization just behind it. You, who is fully convinced and at peace with the fact that everyone you know is dead and the world ended 12 years ago.
You, who snuck into the base as naturally as a stray cat, just because you wanted to steal some supplies.

It was a stupid, stupid mistake that got them here. A dark night, a bad call, forcibly getting split up… and it’d landed the Ghosts right into Rorke’s hands. Not to mention the missing member they’d been trying to find at the time… Hesh would be hard pressed to admit it out loud, but he’d grown incredibly fond of her since they’d met, and it was fraying on his last nerve that it had been an entire week and she was still missing.

Hard, metallic hands padded with something like thick rubber, bigger than your entire body, swooped on you and scooped you up like a wayward kitten. You gasped more than screamed, black spots peppering your vision as you fumbled for something to hold onto. The metal under your hands was warm and had an inexplicably shiny finish, like the giant robot had a thing for detailing. A thought so inane that the one that follows it is, oh. I’m in shock.
