A moment later, Higuruma reappears. He offers an unopened bottle. “I’ll trade you. For the other day,” he finishes his thought from earlier with a breathless smile playing at the corner of his mouth.
Atsuya takes the bottle. It’s nothing outrageous: a fairly popular microbrew. It’s respectable to a degree both Atsuya and his convenience mart beer are not. “Don’t know if I’d call it fair.”
“Oh, no,” Higuruma says, sounding deathly serious despite his airy tone. “Don’t start keeping score, I’m the type who can’t call a draw so we can stop.”

Summary
