Summary

Summary
Very clearly Luke decides that there will be no more pyres in the jungle. This may not be Endor, but he will not build a fire and watch this stranger burn out within his armor.
The war is over and he will save this man.
He reaches his living hand into the space under the man’s helmet and feels warm skin and a fluttering pulse of some sort. But there’s no way to see if he’s breathing through the thick cloth mail and armor, so Luke brings his other hand to meet the first and lifts away the helmet in a single swift movement.
The man locks dark eyes on Luke, sucks in breaths that sound like a dying animal, and just as Luke’s about to reassure him, to tell him that he’s going to help him, a gloved and armored hand snakes out and grasps his wrist.
“You've killed me,” he whispers to Luke.
(Or, an alternate first meeting. Luke is fresh from Endor and Force burned, just trying to heal. All Din knows is that his life has taken a sudden left turn. Set 4 months after ROTJ and 5 years before S1 Mandalorian.)

Summary
It's several months after season 2, and politics are shifting rapidly in the New Republic.
“One of the delegation’s sticking points in the treaty has been a desire to share risk between the New Republic and Mandalore. They don’t want to sign without an assurance. Apparently it’s traditional to do this... somewhat literally. I don’t get the sense that it’s universally desired, but,” she shrugs a little, “we’re all floundering here. Rebuilding a republic out of a dictatorship isn’t easy.”
“I’m not getting the problem here, Leia. So they want it all in writing?”
She lays it out for him, and Luke can’t say he didn’t ask for it. “They want someone from the New Republic to become the new Mand’alor’s consort. Essentially, they want a hostage.”Luke wants the New Republic to back and fund his plans for the new Jedi Order, Bo-Katan wants Mandalore to rise to its previous glory, Leia wants a system of governance that is functional, and Din wants a nap.
(Or, the arranged marriage fic I had no intention of writing.)

Luke gently held his face between his hands while giving Din a very bright, very angry smile. “You think?”

Summary
Din Djarin does not know where her life is going as one of the Governors of Aq Vetina. She is head armorer and self-proclaimed protector of her people, yet loneliness is bound to rear its head.
Queen Amidala and Princess Luke of Naboo arrive on the planet that still works to return to its former beauty pre-Clone Wars, promising aid in recovery efforts. When Din is assigned as a representative to one of the Princesses' handmaiden's, the Governor does not know what to think.
Well, there are a few questions she has- is she really falling in love with one of Princess Luke's guard? Why does the Princess herself seem to have an interest in Din? And why does Queen Amidala look at her as if the Governor is her own personal entertainment?
This is going to be a very interesting week.
