Summary
Forced to take his accumulated PTO (paid time off) from the past year, Dick is venturing out of Gotham for a vacation. Gifted the use of one of the Wayne's many vacation properties, an isolated house on the coast of North Carolina, Dick plans to enjoy a few days of sun, surf and quiet on his own before Jason joins him.
It seems, however, that his luck from last year hasn't gotten any better.

He understands why, especially after what happened to his predecessor, but doesn't mean that he won't take advantage of the fact that tonight Batman and Corvid are elsewhere. Robin is thirteen. He's supposed to do dumb stuff like street racing random bikers through Gotham. Just his luck (bad, obviously) that the Red Helmet Guy had something a more sinister planned than a little racing.

Batman gets into a situation during an alien invasion and could use a rescue. Unfortunately, Dick and Jason don't think the Justice League is up for the task. At all.
So Dick lets the League know that he will be handling the situation and to expect Batman back by the end of the night. He even promises that he won't be going alone. No one should stand in the way of a Batfamily rescue, even if the Justice League doesn't know there's a Batfamily at all.
