Luffy never thought he'd ever find himself in this kind of situation: having his heart broken to the point of regretting the choices that had led him to this state.
The situation he now found himself in was completely unprecedented. Never before had he taken refuge in his childhood bedroom, shutting himself away for hours on end, crying his eyes out. Luffy was even surprised to be able to cry so much.
All this for a man twenty years older than him, with whom, as Luffy knew from the start, there had never been any question of a love affair. At least it wasn't in the contract.
This story had begun one year earlier... No, two years, when Luffy had started frequenting his Uncle Crocodile's establishment in Alubarna, the "RainBase".
