The love and adoration they feel for each other runs deep; sometimes it manifests as a raging fire, wild, untameable and all-consuming, but other times it's a gentler thing, a quietly crackling hearth that offers warmth and comfort. Still, despite often finding himself longing for the other man and knowing he's also won his affection, Scaramouche is reluctant to completely trust him unless he has some sort of guarantee. One quiet evening, Scaramouche's request ends up completely breaking down the walls between them, and the Harbinger realizes he may have underestimated just how deeply Kazuha cares for him.

There was a book on architecture in the middle of the history tomes. It was a paperback, hidden in a corner and covered by a larger book. He only caught a glimpse of it out of the corner of his eye, yet that was enough to make him pause, his heart suddenly a cage for a bird desperate to escape. A blond-haired boy bent over the table, drawing absentmindedly with a soft smile on his lips. On the spine, a small castle drawn. This was one of the few books on aesthetics in architecture sold in Sumeru and, years ago, he had given it to Kaveh as a gift.
How had his book ended up in Sage Reza's office?
