Journals are supposed to be a coping mechanism. Something to let people exert their emotions in a safe way. Patton doesn't believe in that though. His journal served him one important role. It was a reminder of the words that hurt the most.

Summary
“Do you want to kill him? I saved that for you.” Sanji is next to him now kneeling on the ground, probably getting his pants dirty.
He’s gently caressing Zoro’s face and it feels really good. He closes his eyes just to bask in the feeling. Zoro nuzzles into his hand like a dog but he can’t find it in himself to care. Just as long as Sanji keeps touching him.
“Love, I asked something, can you answer? Are you too dizzy?” Sanji holds his face with both hands now and Zoro sighs happily.
Answer, yeah he can do that.
“You can do it, I don't mind.” Zoro answers finally.
“You’re so good to me Zoro.” He sounds elated like Zoro has given him the greatest gift ever.

Zoro's left at the bar waiting for his cook to come back. Oddly he starts feeling drunk, he panics, rushes out and finds himself cornered. Good thing Sanji is always there when you need him.

“Is this really a good idea?” Zoro tightens his grip on Wado. She’s the only sword Zoro could trust with this. To hurt but not to kill only to scar. To cut someone he loves. To rip the flesh of the man he wants to protect. To do the forbidden act of harming a crewmate.
“No.” Sanji answers him blankly. Like it means nothing “But I don’t care.”
“Sanji-“
“I want it gone, this is my choice.” The cook grips onto his neck squeezing the skin there as if he could pop the tattoo out himself. “For once it’ll be mine.”
He lets go before he does any real damage and grabs Zoro’s free hand in one of his. Sanji places it on his neck inviting Zoro to touch.
Zoro can’t refuse him.

Sanji returns from Whole Cake with more than just mental scars.

Toge blinks his eyes open, though not without struggle, and notices the blinding beam from a flashlight the sorcerer in the corner is holding and sweeping throughout the room.
The light lands on Toge, instantly making him squeeze his eyes shut with a silent wince. The bright ray wobbles and jerks around wildly as its user—who chokes on some sort of startled gasp—realizes what he just saw, and consequently begins to freak out over it.
“Holy–! Is that a kid?!” the flashlight holder across the room exclaims loudly.

“Hey there.” Gojo crouches in front of the kid. “How’d you end up here?”
He doesn’t say anything. His eyes flick up for half a second, then back down. He’s wearing a sweatshirt far too large for him, the hood all but swallowing him. It’s long enough to go down to his knees and it’s zipped up all the way, covering his nose and mouth like he’s trying to hide in it.
“Can you hear me?”
He nods slowly, curling further in on himself.
“Do you talk?” Gojo asks. The kid shakes his head vehemently.

I'm being dumb.” The tension in Sanji’s shoulders returned as he paused, then went on in a rush. “I've been thinking about– about us, and I know it's been a few weeks, and nothing, um…physical has happened, and I guess I’ve been worried that you…that you were getting impatient with me.”
Zoro opened his mouth to protest, but Sanji kept talking. “And I just– I don't really know, um, what you expect, but…well…I don't have a lot of experience, with guys, and I guess…I guess I'm nervous. About that."
Zoro and Sanji navigate the physical side of their new relationship, and Zoro tries to be romantic in his own way.
