Mel wrung her hands together repeatedly. “The glass bottle was roughly twelve inches in length and five inches in circumference. I can't imagine,” she began slowly, “not only the physicality, but the mental willpower needed to control such an object inside of the body. Any wrong movement could lead to disaster. Which it did. With that kind of pressure, it's no wonder our patient passed out…and when he hit the ground, the precarious frailty never stood a chance…”
Trinity felt a smug grin stretch across her face. Before she could stop herself, four dangerous words left her lips. “I could've taken it.”
Mel had long been accustomed to Trinity’s shenanigans by now, but the comment seemed to take her a second to process. She blinked. “Pardon?”
