Summary
Durin does not heed "curiosity killed the cat," and it was a relatively reasonable decision, given his life experiences thus far. Unfortunately, this is the one time he, perhaps, should have curbed his desire for knowledge, as he promptly lands somewhere almost completely unfamiliar, cut off from his friends and family.
