Summary
It was believed by many that one’s wings were the embodiment of the soul. To lose your wings was to lose your humanity. Ghosts didn’t have wings, after all. Maybe that was why his parents and other ghost hunters were so adamantly prejudiced against them.
He didn’t want anyone, much less him, to see what remained of his soul.

🎵Danny, Sam, and Tucker are entering their sophomore year of high school following the summer of Reality Trip, and are now a year into their ghost hunting escapades. Things are beginning to change faster than they can comprehend. More ghosts and ghost hunters are surfacing with unknown intentions, making it difficult to tell friend from foe. High school drama is just as prevalent as ever, and growing up seems to be happening way too fast. Would it be too much to ask to just be kids again?
Meanwhile, everything seems to be going delightfully according to plan for Vlad Masters. Every chess piece is finally coming into place, with everyone else none the wiser. What could possibly stop him now?
A season three rewrite with plenty of twists and turns, new people and ghosts joining the fray, and overarching plot arcs that are only just beginning. Written for Invisobang 2024.
