They could've been two innocent souls running around with no regard for the world, but the fact that they sit here—entwined in each other's embrace for what might be the last time—tells both of them that the opportunity has slipped out of their hands long ago.
This, once in a lifetime display of vulnerability, privy only to the one in front of them. Maybe ten seconds later, Jamato will push him away angrily and scream at him to leave. Maybe tomorrow, Spoke will take the blade and pierce it through Jamato's chest, as if today never happened. But both of them decide that it won't matter, at least not in this moment.

Ranboo is a hero, and he has been for quite a while.
Theres a lot going on— between the fact that theres an apparent traitor among their ranks, heroes going missing in the past few years, and Schlatt’s sudden interest and involvement in the heroes work and their committee.
Oh, and also, two weird kids his age seem desperate to hang out with him.
He still doesn’t really know how to navigate all these confusing situations with his terrible lack of social skills, but surely nothing will go wrong!
Not when he’s doing so good as a hero!

Leo didn't know what he expected Tommy's previous world to look like. Whatever he'd expected, it wasn't this. The ghost towns, the craters, the downright impossible water physics.
Well, all the better Leo hadn't included his brothers in this plan– Donnie would have spent so long trying to pick apart and quantify every little oddity they'd have never gotten anything done.
Either way, whatever came next; if this ended with killing Dream or not, Leo was ready for it.
AKA, Leo and Tommy's horrible DSMP bonding trip to finally kill Dream once and for all.
