No matter the situation, there had to be a logical reason behind it.

Simon pulled away and pressed his forehead into Ryland’s, fluttering his eyes open.
The blond opened his eyes slowly, gazing up at Simon like he was worth something. “Love you,” he mumbled quietly.
The brunet huffed fondly. “Love you too.” He pressed a quick kiss into his lover's lips. “Love you so much.”
Their lips joined again, slotting together perfectly. Like everything in the universe bent to bring them together. Simon supposed it had. He tilted his head forward, deepening the kiss.

Grace laughed nervously. His throat hurt and felt a little dry from yapping so much, but Simon hadn't told him to shut up, so he had been going for a good three or four hours now, he'd guessed.
He was met with only dead silence.
Grace cleared his throat. “Um, Simon? You there, you okay?”
Nothing.
Grace's blood ran cold, and his skin clammy with anxious sweat. Simon confirmed earlier that he was injured. Was it bad enough that he'd passed out?? Or maybe he just fell asleep, bored by Grace's endless yammering? Grace hoped it was the latter. He and Rocky still had a good three hours before they'd reach Simon at the speed they were at.
