Summary
Thap knew that some things were beyond his ability. That was something professors had taught him back in med school, and that Thap had learned during his internship. Don't overthink, just act. Promptly, firmly and coldly. He should've only focused on what he could've done to improve In's condition and not dwelled too much on things he couldn't control, just like he had always done with all the patients ever since he became a doctor.
But why was it so hard when it came to In? Why was it so hard to be professional and not let feelings interfere with work? Thap knew why. He liked In, and it couldn't be helped. The idea of In being in pain made Thap's heart ache more than a doctor should let it.
When In attempts suicide, it's his best friend's brother, Thap, who saves him.

Barth was laying on Tanrak's bed, flipping through the pages of a comic book Tanrak was sure he wasn't supposed to own. "But we have the whole dorm to ourselves now, right?" Barth raised his gaze from the pages. He looked at Tanrak with those eyes that always made Tanrak fold. The ones that always made him sin. "Isn't this what we wanted?"
Tanrak sat on the bed. His head hanged low. "I know, but we can't…"
Barth set his comic aside. "What? We can't what?"
"Barth…" Tanrak breathed out. Barth placed his index under Tanrak's chin, so that Tanrak would raise his head and meet his eyes.
Barth and Tanrak pretend to be sick to have the dorm all for themselves.
