Aren had literally just wanted a goddamn summer job.
At least this was more exciting. Guarding a mad scientist's creation? Something straight out of a sci-fi book. Aren could even put up with Dr. Saiki's odd tendencies, like treating his artificial cryptid with an almost parental affection.
Because everyone told Aren that Kusuo wasn't ACTUALLY alive, or human, or self-aware, or whatever term you wanted to use. So, this should be relatively easy.
