Because all he’s been doing in the two months since he moved here is trying to curate a routine he can keep up with filled with support groups that are meant to help. Grief, AA, private therapy sessions. And maybe they’re right. Paul, his dad, his therapist. Maybe something other than support groups would help.

Summary
“Come on, TK!” Nancy whines. “It’s our last night here!”
It’s their last night, and that’s precisely why he wants to take a moment to pause and take it all in. Because it’s been a busy trip. Between everything touristy under the sun, seeing Big Ben, riding the London Eye, dragging Nancy around all the art galleries he could find, and the quieter outings, train trips out of the city, long tube journeys to the other side, it feels like they haven’t stopped to really appreciate it.
“Exactly,” he replies. There’s a wall at the edge, so he leans against it, watching out to the river. “Can’t we take a moment?”
In truth, he never thought he’d get here. After everything that’s happened in the past year, he thought New York to Austin would be the furthest he’d travel, and even then, getting back to New York ended up being an impossible task.
But here he is. In London. Living a life he never believed he’d get.
Nancy comes up beside him, bumping their shoulders together. “We can take a moment and go to the cool gay bar I found.”
