“Also, how do you know about her?” Tora asks curiously, cocking up a brow. Booster shrugs as if he’s mildly offended at the inquiry.
“It’s either I talk with Guy during monitor duty or we actually do the work.” He replies without shame; Ted has to disguise a laugh as a cough. “Also, he wanted to show me pictures of her.”
“Pictures?” Bea asks with mild alarm—after all, it is Guy they’re talking about. “What kind of pictures?”
“Nice ones,” Booster offers with no great elaboration, shrugging again to Bea’s continued frustration. “She’s pretty cute.”
“That means that she’s automatically out of his league,” Bea returns back with an admonitory sigh for a person she hasn’t even met yet.

And you, of course, don’t want to admit that you’ve enjoyed his touch all these times. That when he palms the top of your head in a comforting pat as he strides past you (“Ah, there’s the pint-size again”) it makes your heart race.
Or when he rests an elbow on your shoulder when the two of you occupy similar spaces (“Hold this for me, will you, tiny?”) expecting you to bear the brunt of his weight, you have to swallow to avoid making a noise that you know you’ll deeply regret.
Or when he hucks a leg over your own when you are seated side-by-side, shooting you a cheeky “Watch the checked luggage for me, will you, honey?” you’d gladly do it. Because it means he gets to use you. And you’ve realized, embarrassingly enough, that you like getting used in this manner.

“Need some help down there?” Guy asks as you check the other boot laces just to be safe. He’s pretty considerate—not at all like how Bea and Tora said. His voice sounds odd, though, almost as if he’s tilting his head to look at something—maybe he can see the asteroid approaching.
“I’m fine,” you chirp as you resurface, smoothing out the bunched fabric from your adjusted posture, “Everything look good from the back?”
You look over at him to see that he’s already gone to the trouble of making that check for you, eyes slowly meeting yours.
“Just about as good as the front does.” He replies honestly.
