They had gone up a day earlier than everyone else as Keith volunteered them for prepping this year. As the snow piled up that evening of arrival they knew the snowstorm hit early and they’d be trapped for the week just the two of them.

Ratio was blushing, staring at him with blown pupils, and the world tilted on its axis.

Aventurine swallowed, leaning closer. He regarded Ratio with narrow eyes. “You wish to be used… as a distraction?”
Ratio searches for Aventurine and finds him lying motionless on the grand stage. His first attempt at helping the creature practically writhing in agony is more or less successful — he finds himself entranced and intrigued by his form, making a choice which derails his entire relationship with the (infuriatingly attractive) gambler indefinitely.
