Summary
In the wake of Order 66, former Jedi Padawan Vi hides from the Empire in plain sight. By day she works as a scrapper, tearing apart old ships for the Empire to repurpose for their war machine. By night, she drinks in order to forget the past she's running from as well as the ghost of Caitlyn, the woman she once secretly loved and brutally lost.
After a run-in with an underground criminal forces her to reveal her identity as a Jedi, Vi quickly becomes the target of the Second Sister, an Inquisitor who seems determined to hunt down Vi as a means to help eradicate any remnants of the traitorous Jedi Order.
With the help of some unexpected allies, Vi finds herself in a fight not only to save herself, but also for the fledgling rebellion she has been trying to distance herself from. At the same time, she continuously finds herself in the orbit of the mysterious Second Sister, whose identity will shake Vi to her very core.

Vi shifted beside her, head resting against her hands as she stared at the sky.
“There,” Vi’s voice broke the silence, her hand pointing upwards.
Caitlyn followed her direction. “Orion,” she whispered, turning slightly.
Vi smirked, her eyes never leaving the stars. “The Hunter… it reminds me of you.”
Caitlyn smiled, slowly inching closer to Vi, drawn to the steady heat that emanated from the knight.
“There’s another,” Vi breathed, pointing to a cluster of stars.
Caitlyn’s gaze darted across the sky. After a moment, she shook her head. “Where?”
“Here,” Vi murmured, offering her hand.
Caitlyn glanced to it for a moment, before lacing their hands together. The golden band on Vi’s ring finger caught the pale light of the moon as they moved.
After a moment she stilled, squeezing Caitlyn’s hand gently.
Caitlyn squinted, realisation soon dawning in her pupils. “Lupus...” she whispered, turning back to Vi.
Vi was already watching her, an intensity in her gaze that stole the air from Caitlyn’s lungs. Caitlyn edged closer, Vi’s breath ghosting over her lips.
“We’re struck amongst the stars,” Vi whispered, “the Hunter, and the Wolf.”

Shit. The woman’s unimpressed look morphs into a look of downright offense. “It’s Kiramman,” she says through a clenched jaw and still not moving from her position in the doorway.

The quiet scrape of rubber against the floor as she wheeled her bike forward—and suddenly, they were standing side by side.
“That supposed to scare me?” Vi didn’t look at Caitlyn when she spoke. Not yet. And she didn’t say it loud enough for anyone else to hear—just Caitlyn. Just for her.
Caitlyn secured her helmet, her fingers steady against the strap. “It’s a test.” Her voice remained even, controlled. She didn’t look at Vi either. Not yet. “So we can see where you really stand.”
For a second, the hum of the track, the quiet murmurs of the recruits, the presence of the team—all of it faded.
Then, Vi smirked.
“Oh, I know where I stand.”
Her voice was quiet, almost lazy. She shifted her weight forward before she faced forward again.
“Right in front of you.”
