Summary
After the five year mission, commander Spock disappeared from the Enterprise without warninng, leaving the ship's captain broken and the CMO angered out of his mind. But life continued on, even without that damn Vulcan for company. McCoy retired, Captain Kirk accepted a promotion to admiral. Spock was… gone.
Three years later, just as Leonard McCoy plans to disembark on a solitary road trip in an ancient hover-van to clear his head, those infuriating pointy ears return out of nowhere and without a single word of explanation.
Unusually mute and particularly remorseful, Spock shows up at Leonard's doorstep silently begging for a second chance. And how could McCoy ever refuse him?

Summary
Space is… dark. It is not the kind of darkness that one’s eyes can adjust to, it is not that kind of darkness in which faint outlines of objects make themselves known after one stubs their toes on them. It is not the kind of darkness that hints at a giant ball of rock in the sky reflecting the hidden sun. In fact, it is not the kind of darkness that allows for the very idea of light ever coming back at all.
It is, also, not a darkness one can truly, genuinely, understand until one sees it.
So what happens when the Enterprise’s lights go out?

Summary
The day was long, grueling and not yet over. So after all the metaphorical (and one literal) fires were extinguished, Jim found himself lying down on the floor of his quarters with his hands spread out to either side of him, counting his breaths and letting time finally slow down a little.

This is exactly what it says on the tin. Jim’s lying on the floor to ground himself after a long day. Then Spock shows up and they talk.

Summary
It took Spock twenty-three point six two nine seconds to realise he was in love with Jim Kirk despite the fact that he could never act upon this desire. It however took him a year, three months, nineteen days and twenty hours to realise he held the same feelings for McCoy. This came as a surprise to Spock. What did not come as a surprise to him was the inflow of genuine irritation that followed this realisation- Leonard simply had that effect on him.
Or: Jim and McCoy are in a relationship, trying to charm Spock into joining them. The Vulcan remains particularly stubborn in interpreting their advances as friendship.

Summary
Jim was having fun, despite himself he’s begun wishing the conversation to continue and let it lead them further down this treacherous road he was treading.
Jim loved. It was as simple as that. Even if right now all that meant was an enjoyable conversation Jim did not want to enjoy, a pretty lady Jim didn’t want to kiss and a promised geology expedition which started this entire mess.
