With a child of his own to dote on, Robert Baratheon became a better man, and, subsequently, a better king. As a husband, he's only so-so but he is married to Cersei, there's only so much he can do. The flap of that butterfly wing sure spread far and wide.
Welcome to a Westeros where Robert Baratheon got his shit together and became the worlds greatest girl!dad and a pretty decent king.
