A smirk curled around Steve’s lips as he glanced at Sam. He laughed when his friend groaned.
“Not a chance in hell.”
When Steve Rogers came out of the ice, the world was convinced they knew everything about him. The world was convinced that Steve would hate the future, and all of its strange technology. Of course, the world was wrong - not that Steve felt the need to let them know.
Because what the world seemed to forget, was the fact that Steve Rogers is a little shit.

Summary
Stiles was instantly glad he’d left his drink behind, because he probably would have dropped it. There was one guy sitting where there was clearly enough space for three, and though a romantic would have believed that it was the universe’s way of making space for Stiles to sit, Stiles himself knew it was because the rest of occupants of the room probably didn’t want to die. Because the guy was good-looking, definitely, but he was also clearly a few years older and seemingly in a terrible mood, if the way he was glaring at his phone meant anything.

Frodo is definitely too young to enter into an arranged marriage with a dwarven king called Thorin Oakenshield. It's a good thing that Bilbo is there to chaperone him through their courtship.
After all, there's no chance that a fussy hobbit bachelor would ever catch the eye of a king.

Summary
So there's a bunch of reasons why Stiles has been away from Beacon Hills: most noticeably being the time he accused his English teacher Jennifer Blake of being the evil Darach who spent two years sacrificing twelve of Beacon Hill's best.
But Stiles can't stay away forever from the town that killed both his parents. When he gets a job offer he can't refuse, it's time for him to grow up and apologize for his mistakes. Which just lands him an invitation to Beacon Hills' wedding of the century. Jennifer's wedding. To the werewolf Stiles had a thing with in senior year. To the werewolf Stiles might not exactly be 100% over.
Still, he's a grown up now and he can handle this thing without causing any trouble. Having sex with the groom repeatedly doesn't count as trouble… does it?

Summary
Stiles loves his job. Mostly. Like, maybe sixty-seven percent loves. For right out of college that's pretty good, right? And among people working in the Chicago O’Hare airport he's positive he's in the 99th percentile of job enjoyment.
When all is said and done, he really does love putting the right book into the right hands. Especially when those hands are as attractive as the ones attached to Hot Businessman Derek Hale.
Inspired by the fact that there really is a famous indie bookstore inside an airport ! And also that I have too many opinions about books. Recs are linked! (Very mild spoilers for Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro and Broken Harbor by Tana French)
