The first thing Grace noticed about Stratt when she wasn't working was that she was longingly fixated on the sky. The second was that she never actually flew. He wasn't even sure he'd seen her wings not folded tightly against her back. She wasn't the only person with wings on the ship, far from it, but she was certainly the strangest about it.
Or; Grace and Stratt are part of the 30% of the population who have wings. Stratt's situation is made all the more complicated for it.

His… wings? He manages to look up to see an enormous wing with pure white feathers edged with black around the tips stretching over his head. The feathers slowly straighten as he attempts to flex it. Huh. Has he always had those?
(Or: Grace wakes up from his coma with wings. This has some unfortunate implications.)

Summary
In some timelines, Valerie Gray is benched by Danny Fenton revealing her identity to her father and can do nothing to assist in the fight against Pariah Dark. In others, she fights and dies, and in some of those she only dies part way. In most of those timelines, Danny goes on to face a potential future, requiring culling a timeline to save another.
But sometimes, Clockwork is wary of these solutions to their problems. And sometimes, as they are fond of telling mortals, the slightest difference can bring about monumental changes to the way things should be.
Even their foresight can't know what will happen around the bearer of the Crown of Fire, the Infinite's chosen avatar, the monarch of the Realms. But they could never quite have predicted the result of Valerie Gray making a bold, desperate gamble for the artifact.
As for Valerie and Danny, they'd just like to keep themselves pulled together and save their home city, thanks. They certainly didn't ask for Infinity to look them over and declare dibs.

Summary
It's the end of senior year and Dash and Danny are having the worst time of their lives.
Dash's father finds out he's queer and tries to kill him. That lands him in prison with divorce papers. Dash goes to therapy to cope and learn how to change his behaviors while taking some time off from school. He now needs to learn how to navigate the world and figure himself out.
Danny fears he'll never figure out what he wants for his future beyond being the hero of Amity Park forever and he's running out of time to figure it out as he watches everyone he knows move on without him.
