He doesn’t tell Husk all of that, because he’s sure he already knows. Instead, he unfolds Husk’s palm and laces their fingers tightly together, two of Angel’s pale hands clasped like a wall around one of Husk’s. Keeping the warmth in and everything else out.
“I’m always proud of you,” he settles for, both because it’s the truth and it sounds just like something Husk would say.

Summary
Husk and Angel just entered a relationship, and things seemed to be going just fine. Neither of them had felt so happy in a very long time, after all. Unfortunately, this happiness was tainted only a few weeks into their relationship, when Husk found out he was pregnant. Despite his desire for a child, Husk knew he wasn't up to the task of being a parent, and had no choice but to terminate the pregnancy.
Note: This is not intended to be a long fic. It will not span more than a few chapters.

Of course, even as he says it, he knows Vincent won’t confess anything— Vincent never admits when he’s unwell, even when he’s visibly dripping with cold and wrapped in three layers of blankets. Already, Alastor is braced for the dismissive response. An equally dismissive jab is ready on the tip of his tongue for when Vincent replies: “I just…I don’t…feel so good.”
Alastor rolls his eyes. “Well, you said that last time, an—”
Then, he blinks, the tools clattering out of his hands in his haste to turn around. “I…beg your pardon? Did you say you’re…not feeling well?”
----In the middle of a disposal trip, Vincent collapses. Without answers and wearing three pints of their newest victim, all Alastor can do is take Vincent to the cabin and...do what he can.
