Summary
Five years after the final battle, Tomioka Giyuu continues to mourn the loss of his beloved comrade, Kocho SHinobu. Believing she sacrificed her life to defeat the demons, he carries on with a quiet existence, haunted by memories of the woman he never had the chance to confess his feelings to.
Unknown to Giyuu, however, Shinobu survived against all odds. Miraculously rescued after the battle, she also survived while carrying their unborn child. The ordeal left her with complete memory loss, causing her to forget her past, her comrades, and even Giyuu himself. Given a new identity as Ayame, she begins a peaceful new life, raising her young son with no recollection of the life she once lived.
Fate intervenes when Urokodaki Sakonji encounters Ayame's son. Something about the boy feels strangely familiar, prompting Urokodaki to investigate. As the long buried secrets begin to surface, the truth can no longer remain hidden. The revelation that Shinobu is alive, and that she and Giyuu share a son will force forgotten memories, old promises, and unresolved feelings to collide, forever changing all of their lives.
