Then those lips quirked, and there wasn’t enough time to duck away before Nightwing planted a smacking kiss on his cheek, rocking back onto his heels to effortlessly avoid the punch Weathers swung, cheek burning like the car had exploded again. He was speechless with rage and shock.
Or; Nightwing runs Blüdhaven with an iron fist, trained well, but he was born into the circus and raised to perform. Can you really blame him for having a little extra fun?

Summary
The ballerinas were circling now; Giselle doing pirouettes en dehours in the middle of her ring of spirits, and Bruce could see the spinning figures and the milky fog reflecting back in a hazy white ring around Jason’s pupils.
The veil that was draped over Giselle was much more like a shroud than anything, opaque like a concealing mist, and something tiny and strong hit his heart when he saw the glimmer of a tear reflecting off of Jason’s waterline, rolling quickly down his too-gaunt cheek. Hidden by him ducking his head, as though he could sense Batman’s covered eyes on him.
Bruce granted him the privacy of looking away.

The melody danced over the dark stone, snatched away every now and then by a gust of chilly wind. A minute passed, two. Goosebumps shivered across Tim’s arms with the music, rising up his neck and down his spine.
He wanted to know what song Robin was whistling, why it was so sad. Was Robin sad? He didn’t usually seem sad, Tim thought. Angry, often, mean sometimes, but usually laughing and joking.
The whistling stopped, eaten up into silence by the cold night air.

Robin seemed to take that as his cue, crawling back out of the cape. He ignored Rachel’s horrified noise, sticking his toes between the top of Batman’s tool belt and the Kevlar beneath. A quick, twisting jump, and he was perched on one of Bruce’s shoulders.
“Lying’s illegal, you know, Miss Caspian.” He pulled a knee up, rested his chin on it.
She was staring at him, mouth open.
“What— no it’s— who are you??”
“Robin.”
She turned her accusing glare on Batman.
“What the hell?”
“This is Robin.”
