Summary
Six years ago, Tav, a tiefling ranger, massively failed an Insight check. All he could do is the thing he's best at: bail. Back to wandering the world, unattached, and resolutely refusing to acknowledge the colossal mistake he made and abandoned in Baldur's Gate.
To be fair, he did save it from one world-ending catastrophe, so basically this evens out the scales, right? There's no way Astarion could be worse for the city than the Netherbrain, so actually, it still ends with Tav being a hero.
And it's been six entire years. If Astarion was going to do something fucked, he would've done it by now, and if he had any regrets about their break-up, then he would've reached out. So clearly everything is absolutely fine.
