Summary
The day the titans attacked changed Emalina Varlen’s life forever. Having lost her parents, she flees to Trost, only to be rescued by the Scouts. Living with the Survey Corps, Emalina fights to live, fearing all those she grows close to will die. With a desire to protect those she loves so that no more death occurs, Emalina decides to join the Cadet Corps to become a soldier.
Jean Kirschtein lived a simple life in Trost District. When his father abandoned him and his mother, anger consumed him. Jean wanted nothing more than to live an easy life in the Interior, so he joined the Cadet Corps. He planned to serve only himself and care for himself and no others.
Here, Emalina and Jean meet on Initiation day, neither expecting to find the other in their lives. Instantly attracted as friends, their relationship grows until both realize they have feelings for each other. But it might be too late. One wants to join the Military Police, while the other wants to join the Scouts. If they desire nothing more than to be together, what must they do when their wishes might pull them apart? Will they face a separate world alone? Or will they conquer and fight to stay by each other’s side?

Summary
The Celestial Forge is the greatest combination of crafting powers in Jumpchain, meaning it is the greatest combination of crafting abilities in all of fiction. In Brockton Bay a forgotten side character's trigger event ends with him linked to the Celestial Forge rather than his intended shard. His slowly expanding collection of tinker abilities and the influence of his new benefactor pulls him into the heart of the conflict about to rock the city and decide the fate of the world.
As part of a writing experiment that turned into a narrative. Perks and items form the Celestial Forge (pastebin.com/35AJD9Lj) are selected randomly based on progress through the story. Ultimately an excuse to explore the technology and crafting abilities of multiple sources of fiction.
