Toshinori Yagi didn't exactly know what he was looking for in an heir of One For All, but he certainly never expected to find one in a dirty alleyway. He certainly hadn't pictured an emaciated girl with yellow eyes and sharp fangs when he thought about his heir, but as soon as he saw her, he knew that she, perhaps more than anyone, deserved a chance to be a hero.

Orochimaru made a decision when he encountered Team 7 in the Forest of Death. He’d take these three idiots and turn them into world-beaters. Under his tutelage, they’d become legends unseen since Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha. No one, not even the combined might of Akatsuki, would be able to hold a candle to them. With the Sage of Six Paths as his witness, Orochimaru would create the next Sannin.
