    In which it's been five years since the fall of All For One. Five years since the war, when Endeavor was murdered at the hands of his eldest son.
    Five years since that son, his life goal completed, turned himself in, alongside the rest of the League of Villains.

    Five years is a long time to be locked in a cage. No one can guarantee what kind of monster will come out when you unlock it.

    But maybe you can, at the very least, save it.

    Summary

    Izuku has always been fascinated by two things: Quirks, and Soulmarks.

    Quirks are a relatively new phenomenon in terms of human history, only appearing two hundred years earlier.

    But soulmarks... as long as humans can recall, they’ve appeared when two souls will share a bond of deep love, whether it’s romantic, platonic or familial. Despite having existed for all of history, very little is actually known about the phenomenon. Soulmarks are taken for granted, with everyone in the world having at least one. They’re everyday and mundane, like freckles or birthmarks.

    For everyone, that is, except Izuku Midoriya, who sees the ‘mundane’ and thinks it wondrous.
