It's been a long time since Xiao was this close with someone. The last person he allowed himself to be vulnerable around was Bosacius. Ever since he has gone missing, Xiao completely shut his emotions down. But when Aether burgled into his life something changed. Xiao wondered himself how did this happen, to allow a mortal to stand so close to him, to touch him and make him feel. He has lived for over a millenia yet not once did he feel the way he did when he was with Aether.
It's just as if his karmic debt became subdued by the traveler and his voice healed Xiao's corrupted soul like a melody played on a flute by a God
