Summary
This was a writing exercise I did. I'm kinda proud of it. Kusuo is a Juren and for context he kidnaps Lionel while laying siege on an encamped fortress the knight's set up. You don't really learn it in the story but he's taking his baby mama back home to meet his family.
Lionel Is a Conqueror that just arrived at a fortress mere moments before a fleet of hostile troops marched on it. He doesn't remember much but now he's hiking with a mountain of muscle. At least it's nice. The mountain that is, the hike sucks.

The mop slapped wetly on the floor and slid across the grimy surface. Benson dug the head into the ground as hard as he could, and a sound like nails on a chalkboard ricocheted off the walls. It was agonizing to listen to. Benson didn’t care. It was the only thing louder than his thoughts.
She’s not sleeping. She’s not sleeping.
The sound of a door being pushed open. Two chimes. Footsteps. Benson looked up.
“Hey, Benson.”
Benson grunted and gave Bradley a nod as he entered. Well, at least he was working with Bradley today.
