There is no Batman present with Damian at this moment. Just him, his father, and the danger of everything they won't tell each other about what it means to be a family.
"Oh," father grumbles in a low and gravelly voice that is slightly different to his tone as Batman, but not entirely, his eyes flickering down to where he's holding Damian's wrist, and then back up at his son, "You couldn't sleep, Damian?"
Father isn't pulling away now that he's awake, so Damian doesn't either, "I apologise for waking you."
"You didn't, son," Father lies, looking down at their hands again.

After his parents react poorly to his reveal, Danny escapes to the only person he thinks can help him - Bruce Wayne. He doesn't know what to expect when he gets there, but it has to be better than where he is, surely? He certainly doesn't expect to be reunited with his long lost twin brother Damian. It's funny how things work out that way.
