“You forgot to mention that she’s beautiful,” Elizabeth snaps as soon as Jack hugs her, mouth falling down her neck.
“Who?” he asks, and he seems so enthralled sniffing her, she almost indulges him.
“Dr. Mohan.”
Suddenly, he is very, very still.
“She is gorgeous,” Elizabeth adds.
“Oh, yeah? Hadn’t noticed.”
She arches a brow, unbelieving.
“I mean it. I was too busy looking at you to notice.”
She holds back a scoff. The tone of truth sounds deceiving to her ears.
“And when I’m not there to be looked at?”
“I still don’t notice.”or:
