⚜The story takes place 8 years before the Drama (Won't address the ending or theories. I had this story planned ahead but decided to wait & decide if this takes place before or after the drama, and for obvious reasons I went for the first option since these two deserved better)

架空乱世背景，私设军阀势力是张家各大势力中最重要的一支，因此‘军阀继承人’的身份有种‘族长之下第一人’的效果，但并非下任族长，也无法行使族长权力，只是替族长代为监管手下军队，因此没有军衔。但因为是私人武装，所以继承人拥有实际控制权，族老们可以参与议事并行监督职责，避免继承人一言堂。
侠实在太聪明，被张家选为‘准继承人’，后来用张家秘法强行换血提升血脉浓度，得到了军阀势力的真正控制权，并被赐下麒麟纹身
换血秘法让侠拥有了异于常人的战斗力、负伤后成倍恢复的身体素质、适配张家独门武技的根骨、敏锐过人的耳力和嗅觉等，但使用秘法的反噬让他比常人更加多病。
他刚转换完血脉时差点夭折，族老们为了保住他的命用其他人的命书给他伪造了一个假命格，并让他穿上中性服装做中性打扮，用一个虚假而错乱的身份生活，企图‘瞒天过海’。但侠的真假命格冲突，虽然保住性命，但随着年龄增长反噬越来越严重。
侠23岁那年终于迎来最凶恶的那道反噬，只要熬过以后就能一切顺遂，但他直接昏迷了半个月。族老说他这坎得看命，如果靠他自己过不了，就得借助外力，譬如——冲喜。
楼就是那个被挑中的‘药引子’，他的八字能完美平衡侠的真假命格，让要么压不住真命格被老天发现遭遇天谴、要么假命格鸠占鹊巢英年早逝的侠出现一线生机。而楼身为男孩还能从命理上给侠补足因秘法缺失的阳气，进一步遮掩侠的身份。
楼一个旁支捡来的小孩当然没有提拒绝的筹码，合完命格的第二天就被自己的亲干娘——族老之一的副官张海琪女士打包上门，稀里糊涂地赘给少爷当赘夫。包办婚姻没得挑，两个半生不熟的人不得不同居一处屋檐下，‘夫妻’生活不说鸡飞狗跳但也绝对不算相敬如宾琴瑟和鸣，总之对侠而言平淡安稳但千篇一律的生活一去不复返了。
侠其实对楼有一点愧疚，毕竟这场婚姻牺牲了楼的自由。从小接受良好教育的他在富足资源堆砌下养出了一种矛盾的‘道德感’，他可以为了维护家族的利益采取强硬措施令某处战场血流成河，但在更多不涉及原则的场合里他甚至能称上一句‘温吞体贴’。楼的身份显然是他心中可以‘为之让步’的存在，这点愧疚感更是让他对楼过分纵容，但面对时常搞不清状况的‘新婚丈夫’，本性和‘良善’半点不搭边的侠也会反思自己是不是对楼太过溺爱。Series
