    Summary

THE WILDERNESS is the first part of my kinda-canonical BG3 retelling. The Bardweave Trilogy is a story-driven, angsty, slow-build, sometimes smutty, fantasy/adventure romance with healthy doses of comedy and ensemble dynamics. PoV is half and half between Tav and Gale, with flashbacks, as well as plenty of attention paid to non-ship characters and their interconnecting relationships.

    Some favorites from the comments:
    - "You’ve captured their voices and mannerisms so well; even though it’s a story I know, it’s told from a fresh perspective."
    - "Gale was my first romance and this is bringing me right back to the magic of that first playthrough."
    - "The interwoven stories of Tav's revenge and Gale's love and loss is haunting and intriguing. And the romance is superb."
    - "ELMINSTER THANK GOD (never thought id say that)"
    - "and now emotionally destroyed. Roll a D6 for emotional damage."
    - "My heart has now not only been broken… but crushed into dust. And blown away into the Fugue Plane."

    Summary

I think it goes without saying that you have a room here--anytime.

When Rolan and his family offered Tav a place to stay, she thought it would only be temporary--a few days at most. But the handsome master of Ramazith's Tower, grumpy as he was, seemed to have a soft spot for this exhausted adventurer.

And a brief respite soon became a permanent residence.
