    In the Galran culture, it’s common for aged kits to hit their Galran puberty somewhat late.

    This goes especially for Keith, who’s a half-human, half-Galra hybrid. A rarity in and of itself.

    What comes with that alien puberty, however, is teething.

     

    Basically, Keith is getting his Galran canine teeth in. After the pain and inability to manage himself and his urges become too much, mixed with Krolia's overwhelming motherly instincts, he regresses.
