Resurrections, Lazarus pits, an absurd death rate, and a liminal saturation reading that makes ancient ghosts swear—if someone doesn’t fix it, the automatic solution is quarantine. As in: cut the entire city off from the living world.
Enter Danny Fenton, very tired Ghost King, sent to perform a “royal inspection.”
He’s expecting hauntings, maybe a cult or two. He’s not expecting a semi-sentient city, a legion of bat-themed vigilantes, and one very angry, very Lazarus-tainted ex-Robin who’s technically a walking afterlife violation.
The Infinite Realms want a verdict. Gotham wants to live. Jason Todd would like everyone to stop talking about his soul.
Danny is just trying not to condemn an entire city before he’s had enough coffee.

Damian’s prone body lay beneath it.
The sight cracks something within him.
“Release him,” Batman snarls. The entity only cements himself more firmly in front of his son, nearly blocking him from view. The growling grows. Nightwing unsheathes his escrima sticks.
Thick tension settles among them. The entity’s glowing green eyes flicker and in that moment, Batman acts.

But Teyvatians, who in fact do not need saving, are so done with their efforts to invade their land and decide to teach them a lesson.

during a harsh winter, Inosuke ends up in the same facility Nezu is. One as an unwilling guest, and the other as a science experiment. They meet on more than one occasion, and it’s clear that they could never get along.
However when alarms blare and heroes shut down the experiment, Nezu doesn’t leave him.
Now he finds himself struggling to even gain an identity as a sentient being, all while having a four year old in tow.
