Summary
The trials and tribulations (and subsequent triumph) of wanting to fuck your alpha teammate who hates your guts, a memoir by Alexis Ness.
“I’m not a virgin.”
“Oh?” Alexis tilts his head, lets the smile widen by a fraction, and watches the flush climb higher up Yoichi’s neck. “Congratulations. When did that happen? Was there a ceremony? Did you get a certificate?”
“Shut up.”
“Was it nice? Did they hold your hand? Did you cry a little?”
“I said shut up.”
“Because you seem like you’d cry a little. In a sweet way. Very touching.”

Summary
Michael realizes, slowly, that his definition of home has narrowed to something embarrassingly specific: waking to a tuft of blue hair pressed to his bare chest, German bent around unfamiliar vowels, and coffee made wrong but handed to him first every time.
It takes him half a decade to understand that.
And spends a whole decade pining over it.

Summary
Yoichi gets lost in different vices trying to forget Alexis.
Yoichi knows it’s temporary. That the quiet doesn’t last. That Alexis comes back anyway, eventually — in the smell of someone’s cologne, in the way a man says hey too softly in the dark. In the pause before sleep when his body remembers what it felt like to be wanted by someone who stayed, even for a while.
But he keeps going. Keeps learning. Keeps touching and being touched.
Detachment, he finds, is a kind of tenderness too. It asks nothing. Offers everything. And leaves no trace behind.

Summary
Ness moves into Isagi's home during summers when it's off-season to co-parent their kid who clearly hates his guts.
Isagi is just surprised that Ness is actually a good father.
“Do you regret it?”
Alexis doesn’t answer immediately. He pulls his knees up toward his chest, arms looping around them. He rests his chin on his forearm, eyes fixed somewhere near the coffee table. His breath is steady, measured.
“No,” he says eventually. “Not him.”
Yoichi nods, slow. “Me?”
That earns him a glance. Alexis’s mouth twitches again, not quite a smile. “You’re harder to explain.”
Yoichi huffs a soft laugh. “That’s fair.”

Summary
Desire came late to Nagi, like a fever in a body that had never been sick.
He didn’t recognize it at first. Just knew that when Isagi left, the room felt too quiet.
“I think,” Reo adds, “you’re one of those people who’s going to keep loving someone, even if they never ask you to. Even if they never love you back.”
Nagi looks at him.
“I don’t think that’s a bad thing,” Reo says.
Nagi doesn’t either.
But it hurts anyway.
