After the Local Group indie team faced off with some inner conflict, Seven Red Suns, the lead developer, is now stuck trying to keep their former best friend from killing himself for his idealized version of life, while Five Pebbles struggles with acceptance of his emotions, friends and struggle to get rid of the illness creeping from the corner.
(SRS & FP alternating POVs, they're the main characters AND NO ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIPS HAPPEN. Please don't go in this expecting any smut/fluff this is the pure angst club okay I'm breaking Five Pebbles in all the ways I can)

NSH is glad to see Pebbles taking forward steps on their own. The lingering pain from Moon's collapse still leads Sig's own thoughts astray...
But now? Now, they all have an opportunity to fix as much as they could. They couldn't make things right, ever, but they could at least make the best of what was left.
And that was all they needed.... Which is what NSH would be thinking. But right now there were more pressing questions. Like the monstrosity right outside their access shaft.
