The path does not stray. It alters.
Eurydice Atreides split her soul in half within her mother's womb, dividing the body but not the mind through her twin brother, Paul.
The Order underestimates the girl willing to do whatever it takes to survive. That is their mistake.
They send Eurydice to marry Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen and conceive the Kwisatz Haderach. She does so, but not without a continued web of defiance that entangles the Imperium into the threat of collapse. The Order and the Imperium acts by trying to purge the Atreides' power.
Eurydice Atreides will be returned to the Order to birth her son.
But Eurydice escapes into the desert. Paul is held captive within the Emperor's court. Feyd-Rautha is imprisoned on Giedi Prime. All of this because of her defiance.
Eurydice stands at the center of a catastrophe she built for herself and for her family.
Blood will spill, from the Atreides and the Imperium.
And at the end of it, the Kwisatz Mother rises from its crimson pool.

Eurydice stands at the center of a catastrophe that threatens to bring ruin to the delicate nature of the Imperium.
There is her duty to her blood, to her twin brother Paul, and then there is her duty to the Bene Gesserit, and the nephew of a Baron she is sworn to.
And all that resides in between, there are plans within plans.

Summary
Dark clouds are gathering over the House of Atreides. The plot to end the noble family is being drafted in the highest rooms of the Imperium, while Paul Atreides passes the Gom Jabbar test, proving to be human and alerting the Bene Gesserit sisterhood. The order cannot afford to lose his genetic heritage, so they send one of the Sisters to salvage what's still salvageable.
A rewrite of "Dune", but with a new character complicating the story even further! Paul is 17 in this fanfic and won't move to Arrakis until he's 18.
